Alice in Wonderland
Took a trip that wasn’t planned
She followed a white rabbit
Who had a bad habit
Met a caterpillar of blue
Who kept asking “Who are YOU?”
Then a Cheshire Cat
Who was quite a diplomat
Befriended Alice for awhile
As he listened, advised and left his smile
Frustrated, Alice saw a table under a tree
Where the Hatter and March Hare were having tea
Treated rudely there, she left upset
And entered the strangest place yet
Numbers were painting roses red
As a Red Queen yelled “Off with her head!”
Suddenly Alice grew tall, she didn’t know why
And the King accused her of being a mile high
He said she had to leave the trial in court
“I won’t” was Alice’s sharp retort
“You’re all just a pack of cards” she said
At that they rose up and fell on her head
Alice beat them off, let out a scream,
And awoke to find it was only a dream.
