The Flowers

based on what I saw in the last line of this French poem that was titled:
“Suite” (from Le Dit des couleurs, 2003)

This is the French poem
les fleurs viennent
de l’envers de l’île
et y retournent

This is its English translation
the flowers come
from the island’s underside
and go back there
