From a Hawk

Hawk feather

Heavenly reminder

God’s the giver of wisdom

Feather in my path

Haiku

Doth the hawk fly by thy wisdom, and stretch her wings toward the south?

Job 39:26 KJV

The hawk, a noble bird of great strength and sagacity, and yet a bird of prey, v. 26. This bird is here taken notice of for her flight, which is swift and strong, and especially for the course she steers towards the south, whither she follows the sun in winter, out of the colder countries in the north, especially when she is to cast her plumes and renew them. This is her wisdom, and it was God that gave her this wisdom, not man.

Matthew Henry commentary on Job 39:26 KJV

I happened to find a beautiful hawk feather in my path as I was walking last evening. It is said to be a sign of wisdom.

Garden Graces

Tiny yellow flowers blooming in garden

Cheerful tiny blooms

A scattering of yellow

Birds plant flower seeds

Haiku

Not sure how these pretty little yellow blooms came to be here in my garden, as I didn’t plant them, perhaps the birds carried some seeds and dropped them here. I am not sure if they are weeds or flowers, but I am enjoying the sight of them as they add a bit of color to my otherwise non blooming garden area right now.

#NaPoWriMo 2019–Day 21–Off Prompt

I am glad to see my roses springing up and back to life after the hard winter we had. I lost a few plants to the cold weather but my roses all survived and are looking healthy and growing.
