Snoopy never gave up the fight

Though the enemy came on strong

Attacking all that was good and right

Snoopy never gave up the fight

He fearlessly fought with all his might

Against the things he knew were wrong

I drew this picture for my daughter who has been a #Snoopy fan since she was a little girl.

She saw a picture yesterday of just Snoopy’s doghouse, no Snoopy on top of it as he was “Sheltering in Place”.

It made us both feel so sad, 😥 that I told her I would draw him as the Red Baron with a mask on, signifying he was staying strong and not giving up.

Tomorrow marks one year of my journey in poem writing! It all begin on April 1, 2013 with the NaPoWriMo Challenge of writing a poem a day.  After finishing that April 2013 challenge I found I so enjoyed it that just kept writing a poem a day and thus this blog continued on.  It has been such a rewarding experience for me!  I have learned so much and have met so many interesting,talented people along the way.  I feel blessed for the opportunity! I hope to continue on with writing a poem day and plan to join in the April 2014 NaPoWriMo Challenge beginning tomorrow.  –Leona
