Often times an unwelcome intruder,
It comes suddenly without warning,
Other times it creeps up upon us slowly.
It never seeks a welcome.
It cares not for acceptance.
Once it enters our world things are never the same again.
The only thing that can be said about it is that it is inevitable.
It is everywhere.
We can seek to avoid it.
Try to resist it.
Pray it never comes.
But eventually, it will arrive in some way or another.
So we can accept it, make the best of it, and move on,
Or let it embitter us so that we become stagnant products in its wake.
Our response to it is what makes the difference in the end.
