Gingerbread House Day

I didn’t celebrate

I didn’t create

A Gingerbread House

Syllable Lune

Today was Gingerbread House Day. In times past I have made many Gingerbread Houses but not today.

I did enjoy having a Toasted Marshmallow Peppermint Mocha at Black Rock Coffee while I thought about them though 😊

Did you make one today or have you ever made one?

    1. Oh sounds different with cocoa. I always loved my mom’s old Brer Rabbit molasses gingerbread to eat but had fun making the houses for decorations and sometimes ate them too. I used to work at a bakery in Iowa. I was the cake decorator there for 5 years. 😊

      1. Oh WOW, you were a cake decorator–BRAVO! The recipe I used is a basic gingerbread one–you just add about a 1/3 cup of the cocoa powder. I confess it wasn’t as good as “straight” gingerbread–but I had spread cream cheese frosting on top, so that was tasty 🙂 If I make it again, I’ll increase the amounts of spices–they kinda got drowned out in the cocoa 🙂
