My Red Camellia plant in bloom 1-27-2020

The sun sleeps.

Rain drizzles upon

Decaying leaves.

Misty morn.

In the bleakness, a patch of red.

Camellia blooms.

My Camellia plant offers a bright spot of color on this dreary January day.

  1. A sign of hope and new life. I don’t think I have ever seen a camellia. I sure would like to see one right about now. Though we still don’t have any snow to speak of. There was a sprinkling overnight, but mostly it has been raining for days now. A little color would be very welcome about now.

    1. Yes, a little color uplifts. It sure did that for me this morning. We don’t have snow but lots of rain also everyday and everything outside looks so gloomy but the little camellia plant always blooms in January/February and brings some color into the drabness.
