June’s Invitation

June’s fourth is calling me to “Come!
Visit before this day is done,
See the beauty created for you,
Smell the flowers, enjoy the sun.”

Yet, indoor tasks are pressing me
To focus on the mundane.
What shall I do? A choice is due,
For this June day will not come again.

June’s Arrival

Favored month of mine,
You arrived yesterday In a burst of sunshine.
Bringing sun to replace the shade,
Such an entrance you made!
The sight of you warmed my heart.
I can’t wait for our visit to start.

Forget Me Not

Forget-Me-Not
Forget-Me-Not

Tiny little flowers

In white, pink and blue
How could anyone
Ever forget you?
For you surely are significant
Your beauty’s not obscure
In my garden you are welcomed
Even though you’re miniature
For size doesn’t designate
A flowers sense of worth
As often it’s the little things
That are most regarded on this earth
Therefore you need not worry
As you grow in my garden plots
For I will always remember you
My little  Forget-Me-Nots

Candytuft

Candytuft
Candytuft

Candy in the garden
Easy on the eyes
Found amongst the rocks
Under sunny skies
Fragrant white  tufts
Umbels with purple centers
Candytuft in the garden
A welcome sight when one enters
