Spring’s visit was short
She danced with us all day
Til Winter struck back
Haiku

The morning
Sunshine woke her
Spring couldnt wait
She conspired
She slipped past winters gate
And visited us

I don’t walk alone
The Word safely leads me
He is the Light I need
To guide my feet each day
And keep the darkness away

Promises of Spring
Abundantly appearing
Lawn full of robins
Haiku
While at my college today I happened to notice the lawn was filled with robins! So many of them hopping about, it was amazing to see that many at once! Very encouraging sign of Spring.

Walking
In paper shoes
Carefully planning
Each step to avoid ruinous puddles
Of life

Smiling, we remember
The laughs they brought to us in days of old
Stars of Vaudeville

It is titled “Theatrical Heartscape” and depicts characters from vaudeville because the theatre has a long history of vaudeville. On the mural are—W.C. Fields, Theda Bara, Marlene Dietrich, and Charlie Chaplin

Over the years
Places and people,
Memories,
Combine as
Bits and pieces in my heart
Beautiful collage

What a novel idea said he
Nurtured in conspiracy
Yet, born out of necessity
It’s words still live quite timelessly

“Gone With The Wind” written in 1936 by Margaret Mitchell is still my favorite novel and movie of all time
