I set you free
Said thee to me
How can this be
Said me to thee
Love is the key
You see, said He
Syllabic Verse/Rhyme

I set you free
Said thee to me
How can this be
Said me to thee
Love is the key
You see, said He
Syllabic Verse/Rhyme

Yes
I tried
To no avail
I thought and pondered
And racked my brain
Even searched and researched
Yet nothing came to mind
Inspiration hid from my brain
Ideas could not be found anywhere
So I sit here with blank mind and blank paper
Etheree
On my walk today
I met very strange chap
Full of energy
Haiku

Hospitality
Speaks in many languages
Reaches out to those
Who take the time
To stop and listen
Syllabic Verse
On my walk today, just across the way, I stopped to take this photo of a sign in my neighbor’s yard. Something very nice but unfortunately unusual to see nowadays.

Is a burden wearing you down,
Like a heavy gown,
A weighted cloak or heavy yoke?
Are you being oppressed,
Or being tried to be blessed?
Is it just a test,
Or the enemy’s cruel jest?
Time and faith will tell,
If it’s from heaven or hell.
Rhyme

Frosty Autumn morn
Melts into an evening sky
Streaked by the sun
Haiku

Aged by life’s storms,
Yet displaying beauty,
No matter the season
May I weather like thee
Syllabic Verse

Procrastination
Playing games with time
Putting dreams on hold
Complacent to rest
Up against a fence
Syllabic Verse

Abundance of life
Found in the ordinary things
The colors of Fall
Haiku

Fall fades into
Winter white rest, Spring is
Life’s game changer
