Floating
But going nowhere
On my river of dreams
It’s only by paddling I move
Forward

Hollywood streets paved with dreams
Where some stars shine bright
Grandson is livin’ his it seems
He’s walking those streets tonight
Syllabic Rhyme
My oldest grandson is a music artist in LA tonight to perform a show there on Friday. Tomorrow is his 25th birthday. He is so excited because he dreamed his whole life that someday he would go to LA and now he’s there for his birthday and to perform a show. I am so happy for him that his dream came true!

We count our life in years,
But what about the days?
All the seconds of life?
Cherish all the minutes.
It’s in those moments,
Memories are made,
Chances are taken,
Changes often happen.
Treasure every breath.
Celebrate each day.
Give thanks for your life.
Syllabic Verse
My grand-daughter messaged me today to tell me I have lived 27,365 days so far! Where did all those days go?
It seems a lot longer when you view your life as days rather than years!
It’s pretty amazing to think about, and so inspired the thoughts for this poem.

Little things do matter
“Rome wasn’t built in a day”
Great things begin small
Senryu
“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together” -Vincent Van Gogh

Dressed up in
Paper dresses
And paper shoes
Pray for no rain

Phil’s Faithful Followers
Gathered at Gobbler’s Knob

Phil appears, shadow does not
Early Spring is on its way
Tanka
“Faithful followers, there is no shadow of me and a beautiful spring it shall be,” a member of Phil’s Inner Circle read from the groundhog’s prediction scroll to the cheers and applause from the crowd.
Thousands of people gathered Saturday at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, to watch a famous groundhog deliver his highly anticipated forecast.
