Moth and rust corrupt
Thieves break in and do steal
Treasures on earth
Surely decay and vanish
So dont be decieved
Lay up treasures in heaven
They’ll last eternally
For where your heart is focused

I am at crossroads
Today I have to make a choice
Which road shall I take
One marked Fear or Faith
Mind reels toward Fear
Heart wants to step out on Faith
Truth tells me to trust
And boldly take the step
To walk on Faith’s road today

For The Birds
A day that honors
Our many feathered friends
The Backyard Birds,
Who serenade us with song
And wake us from sleep
In the early morning light,
With their sweet cooing
Sounds and cheerful songs of joy.

No where to turn
Faced with a decision
Up against a wall
Inspiration waning fast
Well worn ideas fail
Dreams falling between the cracks
Into wasted piles
To sit in dark dormancy
Waiting for the winds of hope

Are at times deafening
Imagined shouts
Of outstanding victory
Amongst faintest whispers
Of terrible tragedies

Its snowing again
Winter’s presence now known
All the ground is white
Winter makes news again
Record snow levels
Are set across our state
Cold temperatures
Turn Oregon rains icy
We try to stay warm inside

Needing a Daystar and Guide
To help find the Way.
Who will be my guiding Light?
Who’ll my Helper be,
In this world of dark and fright?

Crying out to the King on high!
