A friend of mine used to say”There’s a lot of truth in jesting” and in this case it’s true. The poem may sound humorous but it’s meaning is real 😊 Snow be Gone!
A wish
Was unspoken
Hid in a heart broken
Until the day God’s voice made it
Happen

Walking
In paper shoes
Carefully planning
Each step to avoid ruinous puddles
Of life
Floating
But going nowhere
On my river of dreams
It’s only by paddling I move
Forward

At His right hand
Pleasures eternal
Joy filled earthly life path

Preserve me, O God:

A flash of blue
On a bleak winter day
Barren berry bush gave him

Today a blue jay visited my yard. I wasn’t quick enough to snap his picture so I had to draw one instead 😊

But not destroyed
For a new life emerges
A butterfly hidden within

Theme: By The Numbers
Most people think the number 13 is an unlucky number but since I was born on that day I have had to consider it positively as my parents always thought me to be a blessing to them and weren’t superstitious.
(Besides, I was born on a Tuesday not on a Friday!) 😊
