A Broken System
Dumpsters overflow
Filled with our throwaways
Homeless begging
For food in ragged clothes
As the sea consumes trash

Serenity
Such tranquillity
Living in placidity
Enjoying calm repose
And sweet peace of mind and soul
No agitation nor trouble

One in a Million
I am but a speck
One among a million lights
Yet the glow within
Dispels the darkness without
And brings hope to the world

Life Discovery
Searching the seashore
For a sign of life and love
Finding empty shells
I fill them with my jewels
And call them earthly treasures

The long sleepless night
On the pallet forgotten,
My palate enjoyed
Sweet breakfast delicasies
And morning sky’s palette

Twilight Hue
Softly night creeps in
Tiptoes on the horizon
Violet hued sky
As the blue sky gives way
To the sun’s red glowing embrace
