Blooms
Withered
Growing old
Stems now fragile
Petals paper thin
Heads beginning to droop
Yet their sweet fragrance wafts
The room fills with their pleasant scent
And my eyes only see their beauty
Reverse Nonet

Kindness is a flower
That blooms in a giving heart
It’s fragrance spreads
Reaching people far and wide
Bringing joy and hope to life

Rose is a Rose, is a Rose
In my backyard
The City of Roses displays
Her colorful blooms for all

I saw this beautiful Peach Rose today growing in a somewhat abandoned area of old factories and thought it so odd that such a thing of beauty should be growing so voraciously even though obviously unattended to, but apparently someone, at sometime, had planted it there.
Well, I just had to pull over, climb through the weeds and photograph it and while doing so I was reminded of the quote
“Bloom Where You are Planted”. 🙂
Kissed by the sunshine
The path seems so inviting
A rose blooms ahead
