“Listening Ear” Art by ©️LeonasDesigns 2020

Floating in the air

So many sounds surrounding

The Listening Ears

Swiftly capture each word

To bring them into the heart

Tanka

We have been created with two ears and one mouth, therefore,

“…be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” James 1:19 KJV

A Rebellious House

Closed door, sorry we’re closed sign

Dwelling in the midst

Of closed eyes, ears, and minds

Rebellious house

Shuttered ears are deaf

To the truth knocking

Closed eyes can’t see the truth

Through shuttered windows

Mutinous minds existing

Behind hostility’s doors

Choka

Poem based on this scripture:

“Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.” Ezekiel 12:2
