One Small Rose

One Rose
I am not a grand bouquet

I am just a single flower

What can I hope to say

I am not a grand bouquet

But in some small way

I am important to her

I am not a grand bouquet

I am just a single flower

Fruitful

White Daisy, Joy
I’m seeking to live

A life that shows forth joy

In all circumstances

Filled with the Christ’s fragrance

And the fruit of His Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22,23

Angel’s Trumpet

Angel's Trumpet Flower
Where will you be at the last trump’s sound?

Will you be above or below ground?

Tis a question To consider…

Whether hither or thither?

However we ponder,

Of how we’ll go yonder,

We can’t know,

Til we,

Go.

Nonet
#NaPoWriMo 2017 Challenge today was to write a nine-line poem. I chose a Nonet, which I also rhymed.

Image is an “Angel’s Trumpet” Flower which I had the pleasure to see and photograph at a recent visit to a Spring “Garden Palousa” Event. The plant’s name caused me to ponder upon the scripture verse in 1Corinthians 15:51-52

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
