The Teacher

Footprints in sand on ocean beach

I heard His words echo “Follow,

Follow Me” and my heart told me go,

Go, leave the chaos, Follow Him,

Him, who knows all there is to know.

PEACE

Blue feather watercolor drawing “Peace” original creation of Leona J. Atkinson
Original Watercolor by Leona J. Atkinson

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27)

Endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3)

And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house (Luke 10:5)

Carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.(Romans 8:6)

Eschew evil, and do good; seek peace and ensue it. (1Peter 3:11)

Functioning Faith

Mustard seeds

Planting mustard seeds

On my knees, moving mountains,

Breaking down barriers.

Believe and Pray:

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew 17:20 KJV

In a lowly manger He lay

The Prince of Peace in goodwill came

The Mighty God upon the hay

In a lowly manger He lay

God came upon earth that day

Everlasting Father His name

In a lowly manger He lay

The Prince of Peace in goodwill came

Triolet

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 KJV

Thoughts On Love

The word LOVE

Love never ends.

It’s easy to love someone

Who also loves you

Someone who’s true

Who’s patient and kind

And of the same mind

It’s easy to love that someone

It’s not easy to love someone

Who doesn’t love you

Someone who’s untrue

Who’s impatient and unkind

And of a different mind

It’s not easy to love that someone

But Jesus said to love everyone

Even that someone

Who doesn’t love you

Who’s impatient and untrue

Of a different mind or unkind

Who’s arrogant and rude everyday

Who selfishly insists on their own way

Loving everyone is not easy, tis true

But it’s something Jesus told us to do

Rhyme

Jesus said: “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you,…” John 13:34

What 1 Corinthians 13 says about Love:

Love is patient and kind;

love does not envy or boast;

it is not arrogant or rude

It does not insist on its own way;

it is not irritable or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,

but rejoices with the truth.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never ends.
