And leaves huddle together
Raindrops falling fast

November winds blow

I sat with Despair
She held my hand and led me
Into sinking sand
Where I met disappointment
Doubt and disbelief
I watched my dreams fading
Near Disappearing
And then I felt a presence
A Hand lifting and leading
Me out to a better place
A land of hope and purpose
Where the Light shines
Upon dreams making them new
A firm foundation
Where no Disses can dwell
An encouraging
Place full of life where
I’m building a good future
Double Choka

Mundane walking
Upon blacktop worn
I saw you shining
Bright like the sun
Right beneath my feet
Oil and water mixed
My colorless path
Transformed into
A sunny rainbow
Syllabic Verse

“Under the weather”
(Whatever that means.)
“Not myself”
“Feeling ill”
(Idioms for I’m not well)
“Abit out of sorts”
Shadorma
The Urban Dictionary says:
“To be under the weather is to be unwell. … Originally it meant to feel seasick or to be adversely affected by bad weather. The term is correctly ‘under the weather bow’ which is a gloomy prospect; the weather bow is the side upon which all the rotten weather is blowing.”

Many kinds; numerous and varied:
Are God’s Grace and Wisdom shown
To beings in the heavenlies
And to those in the world
By us the church on earth
If we minister
To one another
With our
Gifts

As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:10
To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, Ephesians 3:10
(The photo is of one of my Tambourines that I use in praise and worship. I name all my Tambourines as I feel each instrument has a different purpose. This Tamborine I named “Manifold” because it reflects light in so many ways. I use it in worship to praise God for His Manifold Grace And Wisdom according to the scriptures 1 Peter 4:10 and Ephesians 3:10 )

Thankful for full plates now empty
Thankful for hands that cook and bake
Thankful for another day
Thankful for hearts that care
Thankful for thirst now quenched
Thankful for warm places
Thankful for
My life
Thankful

How fast the toilet paper goes
And the shampoo too
Food in the fridge
vanishes
Yet laundry and trash pile up
The house is filled with people
Chattering, moving,
Echoing life
To rooms once empty and silent
Peace is now hard to find
Among so many different
Personalities
Cupboards are looking bare
As is my bank balance
But my heart is happy
The kids are home again
Free Verse
(Inspired by my daughter whose four grown children are all living at home with her and my son-in-law again for awhile)

Thank you God
For the trees that wave
Good Morning
To me
As I gaze in wonder
At he whose wings beat wildly
While he drinks nectar
In the rain
The breeze brings
a brown leaf to greet me
Upon the window pane
He stops briefly
As if to say
We are both aged
yet
let’s keep moving, seeking,
Another day of life
As if on cue
future minded squirrel
scurries past
gathering acorns
supplied by the waving trees
Ah, so much life surrounds me!
I give thanks
For all that be
and for eyes that see
thru the window to the world
Just outside my door
Where all God’s creation breathes
And lives
And encourages me
To do the same.

Just
Do not
Understand it!
I am a helper,
I love to help,
But why doesn’t everyone?
Why are some selfish,
Unwilling to give a helping hand?
I just don’t understand it at all!
They are missing out on so very much.
