Thanksgiving

Fall Oak Leaf

Thank you God

For the trees that wave

Good Morning

To me

As I gaze in wonder

At he whose wings beat wildly

While he drinks nectar

In the rain

The breeze brings

a brown leaf to greet me

Upon the window pane

He stops briefly

As if to say

We are both aged

yet

let’s keep moving, seeking,

Another day of life

As if on cue

future minded squirrel

scurries past

gathering acorns

supplied by the waving trees

Ah, so much life surrounds me!

I give thanks

For all that be

and for eyes that see

thru the window to the world

Just outside my door

Where all God’s creation breathes

And lives

And encourages me

To do the same.
