Daylight has left me
Sitting alone on my deck
The sun now slowly sets
Darkness tries to dominate
The moon’s soft light overcomes
Tanka

In my imagination,
I see a day that’s red light free.
No stopping or starting,
Just cruising happily.
I’d reach my destination,
So very easily,
If I had nothing in the way,
To bring delay to me.
Yet life is not that simple,
And in true reality.
A few red lights are always needed,
To make me stop and see,
That often an interruption,
Becomes a great possibility.
One which could be missed,
by living a green light fantasy.

The sky is totally black,
Not a star is in sight.
It’s the perfect time for Supermoon
To shine forth its big light,
Yet it’s no where to be seen.
Supermoon’s not here tonight.

(I look forward to seeing Supermoon tomorrow night though. It is supposed to appear soon!)
Alone On A Noel,
I sit and ponder for what seems like an Eon,
asA Lone star shines down on the Lea.
I feel akin to that star, for I too am alone,
Yet my light also shines. La!
Because of the One from above who came down
Nae alone am I,
For Lo! He is always with me, the Bright Morning Star! Ole!
