It’s “Goodbye Old Man Winter”
We’ve waited for today
Not sad to see you go

Tomorrow is the First Day Of Spring! Yay!

The sun has come forth to help us
Celebrate Spring’s soon return
She awaits now in the shadows
Behind time’s curtain
Sending forth samples
Of her season’s
Glimpse of new
Life and
Warmth

Is that really me or an imposter,
A pretender that looks like me?
That kind of action I don’t foster!
Is that really me or an imposter?
I dont see my name on the roster,
But a resemblance I do see!
Is that really me or an imposter,
A pretender that looks like me?
Triolet
While waiting for my grandson today I caught an amusing site on video. My daughter’s porch has a mirrored medicine cabinet sitting on it waiting to be carried into the house that apparently caught the eye of a little bird.
I sat watching as the little bird saw his reflection in the mirror and kept trying to figure out who that other bird was. It was very cute to watch.
Basking in the warmth of her sunshine
I walked awhile with March
Dreaming of hot summer days
Until she led me through a glen
Where winds blew cold
Thru shaded trees
Where Winter
Hid Spring’s
Smile

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade. —Charles Dickens

I saw Spring today
Peeking out from her winter place

Haiku

Oh worry not weary one
Spring shall surely come
Winter shall soon be done
Oh worry not weary one
Spring’s life has begun
And winter must succum
Oh worry not weary one
Spring shall surely come

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22

Lose an hour of sleep,
Or gain an hour of daylight?

Go snow
Either way you say it
The meaning is the same
We dont want you around here
Snow go

A friend of mine used to say”There’s a lot of truth in jesting” and in this case it’s true. The poem may sound humorous but it’s meaning is real 😊 Snow be Gone!

A phenomenon
The sky was speaking tonight
In soft blues and pinks
Haiku
Sunset tonight in my area must have been spectacular for as I looked out my North window I saw an amazing sky layered in blues and pinks. I can only imagine what the Western sky displayed!
