Victim-Victor?

Victim VictorThere are two choices—which will you choose?
Your choice makes a difference—either you win or you lose.

In these two words—you make a choice to be,
Bound by one or by one set free.

Victim or Victor–which one are you?
The difference is in letters of two

A mentality of ” I’m” A mentality of “Or”
What do you say is at your core?

Are you a Victim or Victor? The choice is yours today
What will you think—What will you say?

Autumn’s Arrival

Autumn Woman
No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace
As I have seen in one autumnal face.
~John Donne

Autumn arrived yesterday all aglow
Dressed in red, orange, brown and yellow

A pallet of color she held in her hand
and she used it to change the scape of my land.

A bounty of fruit she left in her wake
the abundance of which I could freely take

Color so vibrant brought my senses alive
Autumn! I am so glad you chose to arrive!

Fall’s Day One

Fall’s entrance was dramatic!
She certainly let us know she had arrived!
Gusts of wind and drops of rain quite climatic,
Showed us Fall had been revived.
She continued most of the day,
Her rampant weather to bestow,
And then summer jumped Into the fray
With a beautiful sunny rainbow!
But summer had to leave at last,
For her days are now all done.
And Fall returned with a chilly blast,
As her reign officially begun.

First Day of Fall 2013

On This Day

On this day, in the morn,
Fourty short years ago,
A tiny child was born.
On this day in the morn,
The title Mom was first worn,
And I was all aglow,
On this day in the morn,
Fourty short years ago.
Triolet

September 21, 1973,
Was quite a special day for me.
It was a day like no other,
For that’s when I first became a mother.
