On the horizon
Melancholy
Morning thoughts drift
God’s hand pushes doubts away
His faithfulness reigns

A Non-conformist?
Mutany
At its worst?
Not choosing “lost” in the dryer
“Jumps basket” instead
Shadorma
( This poem was inspired because my daughter did some clothes washing at my house yesterday and I thought it quite humorous when I saw this sock laying on the floor after she had picked up her laundry and left.
The reason being was that the little sock had missed going into the laundry basket and she had to pick it up twice to put it in, but then, after she had left, I noticed it was still here–“left behind” on the floor! Seemingly it couldn’t “get lost” in the dryer so it decided to “jump the basket” in an effort to abandon its duties!😊 Just my imagination running wild again, LOL, but it gave me and her a couple laughs!
Hope it does the same for you😊)
Used, unwanted,
Rejected,
Abandoned.
Sitting like an old drink cup,
No one needs or notices

(This poem was inspired as I was cleaning out the inside of my car. My grand-children often leave their empty soda cups behind after we have had lunch at a fast food restaurant. Upon seeing these empty, used, un-wanted cups my mind thought of the great homeless problem the nearby city of Portland, OR is facing. I hope this poem brings awareness to the ever growing problem of homelessness in Portland, OR. and that the link to the news story regarding the problem will be read by those who might be able to help in providing a solution some way.)
A revelation
Was given
Quite amazingly
I captured a rainbow
That i never saw
Shadorma
When I took this picture the sun was shining very brightly, so brightly in fact that I was barely able to see the statues I was trying to photograph. It had not rained, so I was surprised to see what looked like a rainbow to me in the photo. Apparently, it is a Halo or Arc that somehow formed. (Someone who knows more about weather and amosphere than I do would probably be able to explain it)
But, it was a nice surprise, even though I would have liked to get a better picture of the statues which were a male and female deer with a fawn. Maybe another day….😊
