Sunshine
Brilliant, radiant
Shining, uplifting, warming
Light soothes, brings cheer
Appealing, inviting, comforting
Delightful, desirable

On the calendar,
The shortest day of the year.
December twenty first,
The first day that winter begins.
Sun shines, temp warm, work day long!

Take time for tea and cookies, your busy schedule can wait;
Take time for tea and cookies…now… before it gets too late.
The steamy flavors of the tea will soothe your cares away,
And the cookie melting in your mouth will add a little sunshine to your day.
So, go ahead, make time for tea and cookies, and never regret the time you use;
For memories are made and dreams are built, in the quiet moments that you choose.

Ray of hope amid the storm
Sunshine stopped the rain

Everyone was complaining,
“When is summer going to come?”
The 65 degree weather
Was really not summer for some.
“Where is our sunshine ?
We want hot sunny days.
We are tired of the cool,
And the rain, how it stays!”
So today summer came
In a rushing wave of heat!
The temperature is 100,
And everywhere the sun does beat.
Now no one is saying “Yay!
Summer finally did arrive!”
No. All I hear is “Turn on the AC
To 65 degrees, so I can survive!”
Farewell June, on your final day you
are surely giving us a day to remember you for!

Dark gray clouds hang overhead,
Their presence threatens to bring
An end to outdoor plans for the day,
Ominously, they hover and cling.
Everyone plans to seek cover,
If raindrops begin to fall.
Silently some sit, watch and wait,
While others gather to cover all.
The gray clouds slowly drift north,
Away from our area of concern.
White clouds reveal a sunny sky,
Sighs release, and smiles return.
Plans once again move forward,
As there’s no rain in sight.
The picnic proceeds outdoors in the park,
Stopping only as day turns into night.

Delightful day with friends
Sunshine,flowers,laughter,lunch
New memories made
Favored month of mine,
You arrived yesterday In a burst of sunshine.
Bringing sun to replace the shade,
Such an entrance you made!
The sight of you warmed my heart.
I can’t wait for our visit to start.
