After the fall rain

Bits of joy

Scattered around

I love taking pictures of oil slicks in parking lots after a rain. They are always so unique and beautiful.

  1. I never thought of puddles as being bits of joy, but I imagine children do as they jump into them. When I think of it, the beauty around them is reflected over and over in every puddle thus multiplying that beauty.

    1. I agree Diane. These little oil slick puddles were so pretty when I saw them in a parking lot after the rain that it just made me feel joyful to see those colors, kinda like seeing a rainbow on the ground. 😊

      1. Sounds lovely. My problem with puddles is that I often end up parking right in the middle of one without realizing it and they are always big ones that I can’t get around to get in or out of the car. One day at the grocery store I got out and stepped ankle-deep into a puddle that was probably created by plugged drains. I had canvas shoes on and they took days to dry out and the bottom of my pant legs were soaked too. That one didn’t look pretty I’m afraid. 🙂
