The Welcoming

Fading rose

October

Flew in this morn

Trees waved their greeting

Leaves danced around her feet

The sun

Welcomed her with a bright kiss

Banishing morning dew

As roses bowed

Their heads

  1. Very descriptive of October. We have had rain for 2 days and a storm yesterday. It got so dark yesterday afternoon it looked like night coming on, then the rain came down in torrents. But the trees are still sporting their green leaves. Very few trees are turning yet. But it does have a feel of fall today.

    1. Thanks Diane.
Wow! I don’t like stormy days like that! Thankfully yesterday was just windy and chilly here, no rain. Same here with the leaves not too many have turned yet.
