Faces are all around me
Young, old, dark, light,
As far as I can see
Faces are all around me
Some sad, some friendly
Some mad, some drawn tight
Faces are all around me
Young, old, dark, light,
Triolet

There is something rather lilting about the rhythm of this poem. I find faces fascinating. Every one is different in multiple ways and then you come across one that looks very much like someone else you know. I love to draw faces, too. There is so much to see when you look into a face, both what is obvious and sometimes the not-so obvious of what lies behind the expressions.
Yes, very true Diane . I also, have often seen people who look similar to someone I’ve known previously. Yes, faces are fascinating.
