Today, on earth, the groundhog didn’t see his shadow so Spring won and Winter lost.
Today on earth, at the Super Bowl, the KC Chiefs won and the San Francisco 49ers lost.
Today, somewhere on earth, someone in the world received Christ as their Lord and Savior and the devil lost.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 1Corinthians 15:57

Wiarton Willie (our “local” groundhog which actually lives about 3 hours from here) did not see his shadow either. Willie is unique–he is white. I have seen him on a couple of my trips north. I certainly hope his predictions are correct. An early spring would surely be welcome. But, as your poem says, as Christians we are winners regardless of any groundhog’s predictions.
Oh wow how cool a white groundhog! That is unique!
