Today,
An extra day,
What shall I do with it?
Making a special memory
To look
Back on
If I am blessed to be alive
Four years from now, if not,
Then it’s for my
Family.

Wearing
Rainy day blues.
Energy wanes as
Mundane thoughts hover like clouds.
Suddenly!
The raindrops seem to evaporate
And grey sky disappears!
Sunshine brings
Rainbow.

In Christ
I am royalty
Seated in heavenly places
Wearing His righteousness robe
Princess
In my Eternal Father’s Kingdom
One of heaven’s jewels
Saved by God’s grace
In Christ

Always
Keep looking up
Let your mind soar above
The obstacles you face below
Arise
The time has come for you
To seek new beginnings
And shake off your
Cocoon

Captives
Residing with
Christ, obedient to
Him, they become true, noble,
right, pure,
lovely, and admirable,
Transformed, excellent,
Praiseworthy,
Servants

casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ; 2 Corinthians 10:5 ASV

October
Flew in this morn
Trees waved their greeting
Leaves danced around her feet
The sun
Welcomed her with a bright kiss
Banishing morning dew
As roses bowed
Their heads

Wind whispers
With a chilly voice.
Daylight turns off her light
Earlier, as each evening fades
Away.
Calendar creeps forward to the
Predetermined time
Autumn’s debut
Will come.

(Trying to enjoy each summer day while it lasts!)

Out of place?
Out of season?
A misfit in my path?
Or a reminder sent by God?
A note
To awaken me to count the days,
Wasting not a moment?
“Redeem the time”
He says.

“Even in our best shape we are a brittle piece of mortality. Your life is a breath, don’t waste it.” —LeCrae

A war
Rages roundbout,
Tis tween good and evil.
Saints, are you suited up to fight
The war?
Are you wearing the Armor of God?
Is every piece in place?
Are you standing
For Him?

Sea breeze.
Gulls cry above.
Waves softly rolling,
Covering footprints in the sand.
Ocean
Sights and sounds delight weary soul,
Seeking tranquility,
Refreshing life,
Anew.
