The wind around me rages
March is practicing
For her arrival
Tree branches swaying
Weaker ones hurl
As if in protest
To being awakened
From a winter’s sleep

A spring in my step
On pink and white pathways
Cherry blossom time

My daughter’s cherry tree was in full bloom today! So pretty! So uplifting to see!

Enjoying the new life
Springing up all around me
Singing and dancing
With the birds and daffodils
Shaking off winter doldrums

Green shoots popping up,
Patches of yellow abound,
Spring has come again!

I felt like Chicken Little today as everywhere I went I kept saying “ Spring is here! Spring is here!”
It may not say Spring yet on the calendar but it was very present all around my area today.
I was seeing patches of yellow daffodils in my neighbors yards and green shoots of more to come soon, hearing birds singing and lawnmowers humming, smelling fresh cut grass and enjoying the bright sunshine! What a delightful change from the damp, dark, cold days of winter!
Yes, Spring weather is here and I am enjoying every moment of it!

What will this day bring?
Birds begin to sing,
What a cheerful sound!
Signs of Spring abound.
Daffodils in bloom,
Chase winter’s gloom.
Winter’s letting go,
My heart’s all aglow!
Syllabic Rhyme

Sunsets like life,
End suddenly, shocking us
With bursts of color,
Or subtlely fade away
With faint hues of calm repose.

Spring cleaning reveals un-wanted items in my closet that become just the thing my neighbor needs.

Seeking better days,
With some sunshine in life?
Looking for the light?
Are you standing in the sun
Or sitting in the shadows?

I captured this photo today as I was walking out of a store.
It was a very rainy day today but for just a short time the rain let up and the sun came out and that is the time I usually see oil slicks in parking lots.
Well this image stopped me in my tracks because it was not only a pretty oil slick but it was also reflecting a nearby tree in it which I thought made a beautiful scene.
