Just one
Fish in the sea
Of all humanity
Swimming towards eternity?
You matter!
Cinquain
Just one
Fish in the sea
Of all humanity
Swimming towards eternity?
You matter!
Cinquain
I sit alone
Watching the world
Passing me by
Wondering why
Syllabic Verse
Alone in the world
Smile and kind word bring new life
Moon chases darkness
Haiku
Lonely, hungry,
Bleak, facing the world alone
Sees a seed of Hope
Haiku
Post stands alone but firm
Solid foundation

This poem was created from an Anagram challenge. I wrote it using words found in my name Leona. I have always liked the fact that my name spelled backwards was “a noel”, so this was a fun challenge for me!
As I was walking to my car I noticed the many leaves scattered all across the parking lot. Their colors vividly showed against the black pavement. The leaves seemed to all be from the colorful Maple trees that were planted nearby—except—right by my car I noticed one lonely Oak leaf lying in among all the Maple leaves. Thus, an inspiration for today’s poem.
