Without any care,
No matter world circumstances,
The rose still blooms
Oh that I should be as trusting
To do the same as it does

A bit of comfort
Springing up in time of need
Tiny flower of hope
Haiku
Hope springs eternal in the human breast;
Man never Is, but always To be blest.
The soul, uneasy, and confin’d from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come.
—Alexander Pope, “An Essay on Man”
Today as I went out to visit my “Inspiration Rock Corner” to place a few new rocks I had painted, I happened to notice a tiny yellow flower blooming right next to the HOPE brick I had painted.
It seemed to match the little yellow flowers I had painted on the brick and I thought it not to be a co-incidence that the tiny flower had chosen that exact spot of all others in the yard to appear in bloom.
“Plant seeds of hope in your heart. Give them plenty of love and attention. Then watch as your beautiful dreams bloom” – Amy Atherton …
Are you
Facing a rock
Being seen as unwanted
Seeing your chance for wishes
Cut down
Before
They had the opportunity to
Become airbourne
Never give up
Stand firm
Dig in
Let your faith grow
Deep, be tenacious, for
Someday, someone will stop
Admire
And see
Your beauty and your true worth
For we all have a purpose
That’s waiting to be
Fulfilled

Today as I was out walking I stopped near this big rock where I saw two dandelions blooming and one that had gone to seed lying down on the ground as if crushed, probably by the landscapers mower hitting it.
It intrigued me enough to snap a picture and also was inspiration for this poem.
At the close of day
In soft evening sunlight
Garden’s rosy glow
Haiku
You matter
So bloom
Wherever
Whenever
You can
Alone?
So what!
Someone
Will notice
Your smile
Perhaps
You will
Cheer them
Along
Their way
Syllabic Verse
Yesterday on my walk I was tired from the uphill climb to get to the grocery store and then on my way back I was burdened down with the two heavy bags I was carrying.
I stopped to rest on a bench and happened to notice a solitary Buttercup blooming. The little waxy bright yellow flower brought a smile to my face as it looked so cheerful. Even though it was not very big, nor in a prominent place, it still bloomed and in doing so made a difference in my life that day.
Remember—You Matter—wherever you are, bloom where you are planted, and you will make someone’s day better.
Don’t just be content
To bloom where you’re planted
Thrive! Flourish! Rise!
Always be seeking to grow
Expand your territory
Tanka
My little orange poppy plant is so amazing. This is the third time it’s bloomed this Spring. Every time I think it’s done, it surprises me with more blooms! It’s a Thriver!
Be prolific
Live life abundantly
Overcome obstacles
Open yourself to opportunities
Magnify what you have and share it

Lovely soft scent
Infuses the air
Lingering long
Awakening
Childhood memories

Carried by the wind
A seed blown with wishful breath
