Without any care,
No matter world circumstances,
The rose still blooms
Oh that I should be as trusting
To do the same as it does

Hearts blossom and grow
Nurtured with compassion
On the Tree of Love
Haiku

Today I wrote a word
Just one short word
It sat there awhile
All alone it sat
Until inspiration
Caused it to grow
And multiply itself
Creating a story
Of three thousand words
The power of pen
And inspiration
Can change the world
Syllabic Verse

Poppy
Draped in crepe
Orange hued petals
Alive with fragility
Wind dances
Cinquain

Non-edible crown
The blossom of the thistle
Conceals a soft heart
Haiku

Tearful eyes speaking
“Goodbye my Camellia
Fairest flower of red.
Before us you were wisked
Away by a thief,
A mischievious marauder
Living in a tree
Near your fragrant scarlet blooms.
His greed became your demise.”

I just saw that pesky gray Squirrel who is a frequent visitor to my yard snatch a beautiful red blossom off my new Camilla plant I just bought!
As I watched, frozen in horror, he scurried up the tree to sit on a branch munching on it for his mid morning snack.

Vinca bloom
A morning delight
Overnight
While I slept
Beautiful posy in sight
Ahead of Springtime
