Never, never, never give up. —Winston Churchill
Never, never,
Let your hope sever.
Consistently endeavor.
Hang on to your dreams forever,
Whatever.

Take time for tea and cookies, your busy schedule can wait;
Take time for tea and cookies…now… before it gets too late.
The steamy flavors of the tea will soothe your cares away,
And the cookie melting in your mouth will add a little sunshine to your day.
So, go ahead, make time for tea and cookies, and never regret the time you use;
For memories are made and dreams are built, in the quiet moments that you choose.

“Upsy-Daisy” mamma used to say,
When I tripped and fell along the way.
Picking me up, kissing my tears,
She’d urge me on to face my fears.
“Upsy-Daisy” encouraged me to go,
In spite of the path of fear or woe.
Now years later I mimic that phrase,
As I help others along their ways.
“Upsy-Daisy” I say to you today,
Wherever you are, whatever the way.
Should you stumble and fall,
“Upsy-Daisy” and give it your all.
Never give up. Seek your dreams,
No matter how hard your life seems.
Hang onto hope and you’ll go far.
Remember “Upsy-Daisy” wherever you are!

June 8th is National Upsy Daisy Day.
This day is a day set aside to encourage you to face the day positively, and to get up ‘gloriously, gratefully and gleefully’ each morning.
“Upsy Daisy” Day was created by Stephanie West Allen in 2003.
Her desire in creating a National Upsy Daisy Day was to make humor, laughter and a positive attitude part of the Upsy Daisy Day
If I had the power dreams to fulfill,
Yours I would instill,
If I only could, I surely would.
If I knew the way to ease your pain,
Hurting, you would never feel again,
If I only could, I surely would.
Your sorrow I would banish,
Your dreams would never vanish,
If I only could, I surely would.
I’d bring you hope for the morrow,
and joy for your sorrow,
If I only could, I surely would.

Ballad Poem
This a “Pocket Poem” I wrote and shared yesterday. I printed out 5 in the shape of a pocket, which I carried in my coat pocket,to share with people throughout the day.
One share was unexpected and very special!
So glad I was able to participate in “Pocket Poem Day 2013” and I plan to do so every year ! (And…next year I hope to print out even more to share! 🙂
I bless you with hope,
As you go about this day.
I bless you with dreams,
That will never fade away.
For as you keep these within,
The battle of life you will win!
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24 (NKJV)

Slowly, silently, now the moon fades away,
just as all my dreams have done, one by one,
and I sit here staring at a blackened sky,
wondering WHY?
Why did clouds of doubt come rolling in
and cover up my hopes within?
Just when I thought my dreams were big and bright,So within reach, a blink and they were gone,
just like the moon slowly, silently, hides behind that cloud of gray.
Why, Why, couldn’t they stay?
The answer lies within my heart. I must learn not to doubt.
My faith tells me to trust, wait and obey,
for another dream will appear one day.
For just as the moon will rise and shine again,
so will my dreams….though I know not when.
In my Creator’s time, they will come to me,
and be fulfilled, as I do my part, to trust
and believe with my heart.
Slowly, silently the moon returns
from it’s hiding place behind the cloud.
I smile, as I rejoice in hope, for in it’s light I see,
a new dream rising up in front of me.
