Searching,
Finding the joy,
Unexpected delight, and
The wonder, in everything
I smile
And give
Thanks, treasuring
The memories that bring
Joy and hope when a dark day comes
In sight

If you possess it
Hold it tight
Freedom is precious
Syllable Lune
National Freedom Day in America commemorates the 11th Amendment which abolished slavery signed by President Lincoln on February 1, 1865.
On this day we pause to give thanks for the freedoms we have, and pray for those peoples who do not have freedom, for even though slavery was abolished all those years ago unfortunately it still exists today worldwide.
Wonder not,
Nor worry today,
Nor even
Tomorrow.
If Overmorrow arrives,
Give thanks to God
Shadorma
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Matthew 6:34
(Inspired by “The Word of the Day” on Dictionary.com which is “Overmorrow”)
We count our life in years,
But what about the days?
All the seconds of life?
Cherish all the minutes.
It’s in those moments,
Memories are made,
Chances are taken,
Changes often happen.
Treasure every breath.
Celebrate each day.
Give thanks for your life.
Syllabic Verse
My grand-daughter messaged me today to tell me I have lived 27,365 days so far! Where did all those days go?
It seems a lot longer when you view your life as days rather than years!
It’s pretty amazing to think about, and so inspired the thoughts for this poem.
Tonight with sadness,
I shall say “Goodbye November.”
Month of gratitude,
That causes us to reflect
Upon our blessings,
And give thanks for our life.
No other month does this.
November, I shall miss you,
In December’s hectic days.
