This one is really not as creepy as it looks! 🙂 The picture was taken one day when my two grand-daughters were just fooling around having fun making goofy faces. After I looked at the picture I was inspired to write the poem and then, I figured I would add a filter to the picture to make it look a bit more creepy. Guess this happens to fit right in for a post on Halloween. 😦

Goodbye Thanksgiving
In the news today I see
Christmas Sales have begun
That’s what retailers are promoting
Now that Halloween is done
No more waiting for Black Friday
Stores are open Thanksgiving Day
Cyber Monday is no more
Shoppers need more time they say
So forget about Thanksgiving
That Holiday is obsolete
Consumers need extra time to shop
Not give thanks, stay home, and eat.

Who’s Who?
I’m not dressing up for Halloween
I don’t want to be the Red Queen
Or a Mermaid in a suit of green
No Rock Stars or Pirates mean
In no costume will I be seen
For I have no inner fantasy
To be anyone else other than me
And whether or not you agree
I like who I turned out to be
So on October 31st I’ll just be me
