Reluctantly,

November Goodbye scene

Tonight with sadness,

I shall say “Goodbye November.”

Month of gratitude,

That causes us to reflect

Upon our blessings,

And give thanks for our life.

No other month does this.

November, I shall miss you,

In December’s hectic days.

City Stranger

Black Bunny

Lonely wayfarer?

Or escapee from his hutch?

Black Bunny in the wood

Haiku

Apparently a black bunny lives in the woods at the end of a city street in my town. He has often been seen munching on carrots, lettuce and other greens generous neighbors and passerby’s leave for him daily. No one seems to know where he came from or where he’s going but for now he seems content to hang around and enjoy the neighborhood hospitality. I happened to catch sight of him last week while he was enjoying his morning snack and he graciously consented to pose for a photo

Take a Chance

Snoopy Top Dog

Follow

Creativity.

Sometimes it leads

You on an amazing journey

To find

Hidden talents within yourself!

You will enjoy finding

New things to do,

And create!

Lately I have been trying to learn how to draw. I have always wanted to but never really took the time to see if I could. So, last month I decided I would.

I bought a Sketch Book and some drawing pencils, found a daily drawing prompt site on Instagram and began my journey!

It has been a delightful, rewarding time each day. I am learning so much, finding hidden talent I didn’t know I had and meeting new friends.

I usually search for “How to Draw” sites or on You Tube that have drawing tutorials.

Today was especially exciting as the Prompt was to draw “Numbers”.

I decided to create something from the Numbers 25 as today is the 25th.

The drawing you see posted above is what resulted! It just amazed me to see where creativity led me today! From the numbers 25 to a Snoopy Top Dog drawing! 😊 I just had to share my excitement!

Time Less

HourGlass lying sideways

Unfinished projects abound.

Each day showing me they’re around,

They shift and fall and fret,

Hoping my attention to get.

Some buried beneath a paper stack,

Just lie in wait for what they lack.

Others in plain site collect

Dust, as each day them I neglect.

Sadly they all sit, waiting for the day,

For me to have time to bring life their way.

Question for Seekers

Seek and ye shall find.

What is it that you search for?

Are you in the right place?

Acorns aren’t found beneath

The branches of Maple trees

Tanka

I was prompted to write this poem today as I happened to see a little gray squirrel searching for food just outside my window. The little guy was actively checking out every flower pot, tree and place in the yard apparently looking for something to fill up his winter pantry. However, the trees in my backyard are only Maple and Evergreen, so he was coming up empty if he was looking for acorns. This caused me to consider what it was I was looking for in life and to ask myself if I was looking for it in the right places. Something we all should stop and think about occasionally

Unexpected Sunshine

Sunshine

Dont you just love it

When those gray skies turn blue,

Raindrops disappear,

And inexpected sunshine

Comes shining thru,

Making a drab day turn new!

A smile can do

A very similar thing

Into life, as light it brings.

Choka

This poem was inspired by this mornings burst of sunshine! The weatherman had predicted rain and cloudy skies all day and so it was as I awoke this morning , but then, suddenly, as I sat drinking coffee staring out at the rain falling upon my patio, the rain stopped, the sun broke though the clouds, and behold! It was a new day
