What will this day bring?
Birds begin to sing,
What a cheerful sound!
Signs of Spring abound.
Daffodils in bloom,
Chase winter’s gloom.
Winter’s letting go,
My heart’s all aglow!

Sunsets like life,
End suddenly, shocking us
With bursts of color,
Or subtlely fade away
With faint hues of calm repose.

Seeking better days,
With some sunshine in life?
Looking for the light?
Are you standing in the sun
Or sitting in the shadows?

I captured this photo today as I was walking out of a store.
It was a very rainy day today but for just a short time the rain let up and the sun came out and that is the time I usually see oil slicks in parking lots.
Well this image stopped me in my tracks because it was not only a pretty oil slick but it was also reflecting a nearby tree in it which I thought made a beautiful scene.

It was
And now its not
Change happens so quickly
In the blink of an eye, things change
So quickly

Watching the rain fall
Remembering days of old
Reflections in rain
Reminders of times past
All runoff like raindrops

Heartprints
Everywhere
Left by those who care
Mean more than fingerprints or
Footprints

( I was surprised to see another heart shape in my path today as I walked thru the parking lot at my local grocery store. This one was just a dry patch in the wet blacktop, not sure how it came to be there but it caught my eye. The last heart shape I saw a couple weeks ago in the parking lot was created from gum or candy I think. Just amazing that I keep seeing these heart shapes in my path. Looks like someone is leaving heartprints! 😊 )
Reminds me of the beautiful poem I posted below by an Unknown Author . It’s titled “Heartprints”
Heartprints
Whatever our hands touch – we leave fingerprints!
On walls, on furniture, doorknobs, dishes, books – there’s no escape!
As we touch we leave our identity.
Oh God, wherever I go today, help me leave heartprints!
Heartprints of compassion, of understanding and love,
Heartprints of kindness and genuine concern.
May my heart touch a lovely neighbor, or a runaway daughter
or an anxious mother, or perhaps even a friend.
Lord, send me out today to leave heartprints.
And if someone should say “I felt your touch”,
May that one sense YOUR LOVE
Touching them through ME!

Dont worry or hurry
Trust God to care for you
Like the birds do

“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” –Jesus. Matthew 6:26

Physically on earth
We will lose sometimes.
Yet, Spiritually,
We who are in Christ are winners,
For In Him is victory.
Tanka
Today, on earth, the groundhog didn’t see his shadow so Spring won and Winter lost.
Today on earth, at the Super Bowl, the KC Chiefs won and the San Francisco 49ers lost.
Today, somewhere on earth, someone in the world received Christ as their Lord and Savior and the devil lost.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ 1Corinthians 15:57
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1John 5:4
