A foraging army boldly flew
Into my area of wet green,
Peaking the interest of one
Gray squirrel long and lean,
Who romped about
And in between.
A nature

Silent Tree of Winter,
Branches now barren
Except for teardrops
As you await
The new buds of Spring,
Or strands of jewels
Left behind by rain?

To get a bit to eat
Spying the bird feeder’s treat
Towards it he does hurl

To sway to and fro in harmony.
Nature’s graceful dance.
