Purpose

Exodus 9:16 scripture

Raised up for what?

To show His power in you!

Declare His name

Everywhere you travel

That’s His purpose for you

Tanka

Based on Exodus 9:16 scripture where the Lord was speaking to Moses regarding His purpose in dealing with Pharaoh. Just as the Lord raised up Moses for that purpose, so has He done the same for all of us who believe.

We all have a purpose. He created each of us to fulfill His plan. Wherever we are today we can show forth His power as we declare His name. It’s not about us, it’s about Him.

Compassion

Heart shape on concrete

I want to help you

But I’m struggling too

I see your pain

And sadness too

I want to help you

But I’m struggling too

So I’ll do what I can

And pray for you

That God Who Sees All

Will help us two

Make it through

Busy Bee

Crocus with bee inside

I seem to be obsessed

By all the colors of Spring

Bee in my bonnet

I can be found snapping pics

In random neighbor’s yards

Tanka

Today it was so nice out again I just had to take a walk down the block to check out all the neighborhood yards to see how much Spring growth had appeared.

Well I was pleasantly rewarded as one neighbor had an abundance of vibrant

crocus blooming. The bees and I were happy and one even paused for a pic😊

On pink and white pathways

My daughter’s cherry tree was in full bloom today! So pretty! So uplifting to see!

Enjoying the new life

Springing up all around me

Singing and dancing

With the birds and daffodils

Shaking off winter doldrums

Morning Thoughts

Drawing of Daffodils by Leona J. Atkinson ©️, Woodsworth daffodil poem quote

What will this day bring?

Birds begin to sing,

What a cheerful sound!

Signs of Spring abound.

Daffodils in bloom,

Chase winter’s gloom.

Winter’s letting go,

My heart’s all aglow!

Sometimes…

Original watercolor of a sunset
Watercolor sunset by Leona J. Atkinson ©️2020

Sunsets like life,

End suddenly, shocking us

With bursts of color,

Or subtlely fade away

With faint hues of calm repose.
