Smiling with youreyes, also called the “Duchennesmile” or “smizing,” makes you look like you’re genuinely happy.Smiling with youreyes is hard to fake, and it helps to channel good thoughts so you’ll seem more sincere. Once you get really good at it, you can evensmile using only your eyes!
I am in the midst of rearranging my art room, creating new outdoor garden art, participating in a daily art journal challenge, and planning for a tea party next month.
I am on this crazy journey filled with creative ideas that’s so fun but at times a bit tiring. 😊
This poem is based on Isaiah 26:3. I have prayed that verse many times over myself at night before shutting my eyes to sleep and as I read that verse this morning I wondered for the first time just what the original words for “perfect peace” were. An interlinear word search showed me that both words mean the same, or as we would say “shalom shalom” the highest peace possible. What a blessed way to sleep at night!
While I appreciate and salute all who served as essentials during COVID-19, I specifically want to dedicate this poem to my grand-daughter Vivian, age 21, who is a care-giver at a nursing home.
Vivian faithfully worked many long and extra shifts to take care of the residents during quarantine.
And also, want to dedicate this poem to my other grand-daughter’s boyfriend, Michael, age 20, who is an auto maintenance worker, earning minimum wage. Micheal faithfully worked many long days and extra hours with no extra raise in wages during this time of pandemic.
Thanks to both of these hard working young people and many others I don’t know.
Let’s remember it was people like this that kept our country going during the pandemic.
