How many roads have you trod
In those earthly shoes?
Though worn and weary yet you’d plod,
How many roads have you trod?
Through city streets or soggy sod,
Doin your best, payin your dues,
How many roads have you trod,
In those earthly shoes?

The answer, my friend, is blowin’ in the wind, The answer is blowin’ in the wind.
—Bob Dylan
Happy 78th Birthday today to Bob Dylan!
I really don’t know what I’d do
If I were you and you were me
I might celebrate my debut
I really don’t know what I’d do
I might enjoy me being you
But us being reversed is a mystery
I really don’t know what I’d do
If I were you and you were me

#OctPoWriMo Day 12
Word Prompts:
should, might, consider, absolute, discover
What should I write about?
Something I seek or see?
Something that deserves a shout?
What should I write about?
Things that I believe or doubt?
Something I hope or dream will be?
What should I write about?
Something I seek or see?
Triolet
Write every day.
I must have a lot to say.
Does anyone read?
Senryu
Many of us wonder this I am sure.
Though I don’t write to receive feedback it is always appreciated.
Thank you for reading my poems and all the likes and comments you’ve posted over the years. 😊
Tear in eye
Saying goodbye
Dont know why
Long deep sigh
I perspire
Lungs respire
I do aspire
To so inquire
Mini-Monoverse
Seek and ye shall find.
What is it that you search for?
Are you in the right place?
Acorns aren’t found beneath
The branches of Maple trees

I was prompted to write this poem today as I happened to see a little gray squirrel searching for food just outside my window. The little guy was actively checking out every flower pot, tree and place in the yard apparently looking for something to fill up his winter pantry. However, the trees in my backyard are only Maple and Evergreen, so he was coming up empty if he was looking for acorns. This caused me to consider what it was I was looking for in life and to ask myself if I was looking for it in the right places. Something we all should stop and think about occasionally
