Reading today’s news
Some days are so obscure
Obfuscating words

Dictionary.com’s Word for the Day is “Obfuscate”. It seemed very fitting as I read some of today’s news reports.

Two paths lay before me
Where will they lead my feet
If I go left where will I be
Two paths lay before me
If I go right what will I see
I wonder if in the end both will meet
Two paths lay before me
Where will they lead my feet
Triolet

Are manners lost?
When did rudeness arise
To become norm?
Can we just get along please?
Is kindness that hard to do?
Tanka

How will I know
When the time is right
To leave or go?
How will I know
To say yes or no,
To run or to fight?
How will I know,
When the time is right?

Prompt: “How Will I Know”

Is there someplace you’d rather be?
Or are you in your comfort zone?
Are you settled or wanting to be free?
Is there someplace you’d rather be?
Seeking a dream or a vision you see?
Need help or like being alone?
Is there someplace you’d rather be?
Or are you in your comfort zone?
Triolet

Where will you be at the last trump’s sound?
Will you be above or below ground?
Tis a question To consider…
Whether hither or thither?
However we ponder,
Of how we’ll go yonder,
We can’t know,
Til we,
Go.
Nonet
#NaPoWriMo 2017 Challenge today was to write a nine-line poem. I chose a Nonet, which I also rhymed.
Image is an “Angel’s Trumpet” Flower which I had the pleasure to see and photograph at a recent visit to a Spring “Garden Palousa” Event. The plant’s name caused me to ponder upon the scripture verse in 1Corinthians 15:51-52
“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
What if your dream came true today?
Would you enjoy it, or look for another to come your way?
What if all your cares were taken away?
Would you truly be able to enjoy the day?
What if a miracle was granted to you?
Would you give thanks to whom it was due?
What if all your wishes came true ?
Would you be happy or seek more for you?
What if, after change came, you did concur,
that things were better the way they were?
