In memory of your
Faces we no longer see,
Who fought to keep us free,
Souls so brave and true, now gone,
For our freedom we thank you.

In a world of hurt
One heart among many
Can bring souls comfort
One heart that’s surrendered
Completely to God’s will

As I continue to read the true story of Katie Davis Majors heart’s commitment to God and His will, I am amazed at what God has done through her for the people in Uganda.
I recommend reading her book “Kisses for Katie”. It’s a great testimony of what God can accomplish through one heart that’s totally surrendered to Him.
Who can
Save our souls
From the bottomless pit
The One who holds the keys to life
And death

And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 1 John 4:14
#MayFalls19 Poetry Challenge Prompt: save our souls
Quickly jotted notes
Faceless friends and family
Life passing by
Living in a timeclock
Checking Apple’s watch
Running life’s racetrack
In a zombie world
Filled with roads to nowhere
Lonely souls needing God.

Fearing others harsh opinions
Keeping our thoughts hidden inside
Silencing our tongues
Invites darkness

Looking at the world
Filled with people
With brown or blue eyes
Do you see as God sees
God sees hearts and souls
God created colors
Man created prejudice
