Frosty Autumn morn
Melts into an evening sky
Streaked by the sun
Haiku
Things are not always as they seem.
What we see may not be what is.
Sometimes eyes play tricks,
And our mind does also.
We need to ask ourself,
Is reality
Truly what
My eyes do
See?

At this sunset hour
New opportunity waits
Just around the corner

National Creamsicle Day
Creamsicle sunset
Haiku
Tonite we had the most beautiful sunset in different shades and layers of orange, peach and cream colors. The camera on my phone just didn’t capture the colors exactly as I saw them because as I looked at it I thought of a Creamsicle which I have always loved to eat!
A quick Google search told me that National Creamsicle Day was on August 14th which was two days ago, but the sky was cloudy then and there wasn’t a sunset, so I guess God decided to celebrate it late and gave us this creamsicle sky tonight! 😊
Slight breeze carries
Smells of suppertime
As summer’s sun sets
Syllabic Verse
Summer sun setting.
Rising, August it will meet.
Summer is running

July 4th
God’s Fireworks
Light up the horizon
And set nighttime heavens soundlessly
Ablaze!
Cinquain
(As our neighborhood and city was putting on a very noisey fireworks display, God entered with the most beautiful brilliant sunset that awed many)
Breathing in so deeply
Scents of seaweed and crisp air
As gulls seranade
And ocean foam caresses
Sand covered toes
Sunset glistens like gold
Shimmering on waves
That meet rocks and waiting cheek
With a salty kiss goodnight
