Welcome July!
Farewell to Spring 2014
Patriotic Pantoum
Flowing over me,
Come thoughts of liberty,
Every time our Flag I see,
Flying over land or sea.
Come! Thoughts of liberty.
I welcome you to dwell in me,
Every time our Flag I see.
For you’re a reminder I am free!
I welcome you to dwell in me,
Patriotic thoughts of liberty!
For you’re a reminder I am free.
At times I need you desperately!
Patriotic thoughts of liberty,
Every time our Flag I see.
At times I need you desperately,
Flowing over me.
Pantoum-rhyme scheme aaaa
(This is my first attempt at writing a Pantoum. It was a challenge, and even more so, because I chose to rhyme it aaaa instead of the usual abab)

NaPoWriMo 2013, #17–“Good Morning”
Every morning I get to say,
“Hello” to a brand new day.
Each sun rise gives me the chance,
To greet a new happenstance.
“Welcome daybreak!” You offer me,
A brand new opportunity,
To start afresh and create anew,
“I am so glad to receive you!”
