I have a feeling that you are content as well!
Content to Gather Shadows
Yes, you are right, MagicalMysticalTeacher, I am content! It is the most blooming rose bush I have ever seen! 🙂
I’m glad to see such a content rose. Lovely poem.
Thanks Alice. Appreciate your visit and comment. I am content to live in the City of Roses with my content rose bush 🙂 I was born in June and so the rose is my birth flower.
I lived in “the city of roses” (Portland, OR) for 22 years and my husbands and boys are Portland natives. Are you from another “city of roses”? 🙂
I live in Portland, Oregon–the same “City of Roses”, Alice. 🙂
What a small world. Portland is a wonderful town with many good people and resources. It’s been a great place to raise my kids. I miss a lot about our life there (but wouldn’t give up our new found sunshine).
All the best,
Alice
Thanks Alice. Yes, it is a great place to live! I moved here from the Midwest in 2006 and am glad I did.
Yes. I grew up in Ohio. Oregon has a softer winter. 🙂
Oh yes! Much softer–however, this last winter was pretty snowy for about a week. However, still better than the Midwest winters.
A week of snow is good for the garden and a nice change of scenery. We always like “snow days” in Portland and staying home to play 🙂
Yes, it is Alice and a “Snow Day” occasionally is nice and I do try to enjoy them, however, all the snow I seen, shoveled and drove in over the years of living in the Midwest, has really taken it’s toll on me, and personally, I prefer no snow ever! 🙂 I am an 80 degree sunshine gal! 🙂
I understand! I grew up in Ohio and understand being unable to get my feet warm. I’m a 70 degree sunshine gal now. 🙂
Lovely roses. Lovely Haiku.
Thank you Menons. I appreciate your visit and comment.
