Watching as you leave…
August, you brought lots of sunshine,
Must I say goodbye?
I am not looking forward
To those Fall days
Of less sun and shorter days
That September brings.
Oh, that Summertime would linger
Instead of running away.

Ground is frosty white
Squirrel scurrying for acorns
Hither, thither, yon

Upturned
Branches of hope,
Dreaming of spring’s promise,
Reach as if anticipating
New life
Cinquain
I am Miss Autumn
Dressed in vibrant colors
Creating crisp brisk breezes
Inviting leaves to dance
As maple trees clap
Their red and golden appendages
Beneath cloudy skies
And furry grey squirrels scamper
To gather the oak’s treasures

Sunset
Feathers on high
Streaks of orange light
Fill the western sky before me
I gasp

Like falling leaves
Blessings coming down
From Father of Lights
With whom there’s no end
Too many to count
So I just say “Thank You”
Syllabic Verse
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17 KJV
Red carpets of leaves
Gold falling all about me
Feel like royalty
Haiku

On a red carpet
Tossing leaves of welcome
November swept in
As the barren trees shivered
And the crescent moon vanished

Nature’s
Fall games
Yellow
Races red
Wind quits
No winners
Syllabic Verse
It was a fairly windy warm Fall day today and I enjoyed being outside just watching the wind blowing the leaves around. I missed out on getting a video of a group of leaves dancing as I didn’t have my camera ready in time but it was awesome to see them swirl and twirl together in sort of a whirlwind burst of air.
But I did capture another video of them looking like they were racing each other as a big gust of wind blew them along. Fun day! 😊
So many colors
Dot the green
From just one tree
Syllable Line
I was out walking about my yard today just admiring all the different colors of the fallen leaves. There are so many variations of colors it is amazing.
