So very true, Leona. Too often people spend time wishing for a better past or hoping and dreaming of what they want the future to look like and all the time they are missing the “now”. We certainly cannot change the past and we are not even promised tomorrow, but we can use the past to make our present better and by doing that insure a better future if we are given another tomorrow.
Exactly Diane!!
I am reading a book titled “ Acres of Diamonds” by Jentezen Franklin that talks about this very thing and actually some of what I’ve read so far inspired me to write this poem.
I didn’t know that he had written a book by that name. I am familiar with a book of the same title written many years ago by Russell H. Conwell. I have several of Franklin’s books, though.
It’s a new book, not sure if it’s been released yet. I received it from Chosen Books in exchange for reading and reviewing.
